To date, MGF has issued more than $350,000 in Community Improvement Grants, including funding for the following community improvement projects in Soulard and Downtown:

  •  The development of the Soulard Entryway at Gravois and Tucker, as seen to the right

  • New park benches in Soulard Market Park

  • Installation of permanent electric power at Soulard Market Park to facilitate the production of community activities throughout the year

  • Wrapping Soulard Market Park & Pontiac Square Park in historically appropriate ornamental iron fencing

  • Installation of historic lighting at Soulard Market Park and Pontiac Square Park

  • Playground equipment for Lucas Park

  • Landscaping at the Soulard School

  • Soulard's inclusion in the Convention and Visitors’ Commission Wayfinding Signage Program

  • Soulard neighborhood marketing brochure

  • Phase 1 capstone and expansion funding for the Frenchtown Dog Park

  • Seed funding for neighborhood markers

  • Reforestation of Soulard, adding more than 160 new trees in 2014

  • Capital improvements to Gene Slay Boy’s Club
